Surgeo represents a growing community of women and men – engineers, software developers, designers, intellectual property lawyers, accountants, writers, and more – who are absolutely devoted to the idea that patients deserve quality and choice, physicians and surgeons deserve recognition and support, facility owners deserve a more accommodating market for their assets, and employers and payers deserve simplicity and value. We invite you to meet some of the individuals in our community. Click here to see who is on our Physician Advisory Board. Join the discussion on Twitter and Facebook.
Arnon Krongrad, MD
Dr. Krongrad joined his first house call at age 6, when his father unexpectedly brought him along as he attended to a man with chest pain. Thus began his lifelong romance with doctoring, from delivering babies in unlit clinics in remote Africa to repairing trauma victims in modern urban hospitals. Dr. Krongrad has conducted and published basic and clinical research, taught medical students and residents, started online healthcare communities, and reconfigured care pathways. Nearly all his bedside experience relates directly to surgery: in 1999, he introduced the first minimally invasive surgical technique for treatment of prostate cancer into the U.S.
Dr. Krongrad performed the surgeries that inspire the formation of Allevion, and his practical bedside know-how couples with a view that healthcare can be more sensibly delivered. He applies decades of experience to connect with patients and professionals and build provider networks, and ultimately bring new services to a market hungry for quality, value, and convenience.
